(Kirksville, MO) -- The City of Kirksville has scheduled our annual citywide Fall Brush and Limb Pick Up event. The Public Works Department’s Street Maintenance Division will begin picking up tree limbs and large brush on Monday, October 9, 2017. Although the work is expected to take the entire week of October 9 through 13, to guarantee pickup, your brush must be placed curbside by 7:00 am, Monday. Brush and limbs should be under 10 feet in length, and/or smaller than 18 inches in diameter.

The City of Kirksville would also like to remind citizens of the available ways to dispose of yard waste throughout the year. Our Brush Disposal Site, located by the Adair County Humane Society, 22376 W. State Highway 6, is open year-round on the second and third weekends of each month. The hours of operation on those weekends are Friday at 8:00 am through Monday at 8:00 am. Trees and limbs left at the Brush Disposal Site should not contain leaves, trash, or other debris. Bagged leaves and other bagged yard waste should be disposed of year-round in the yard waste roll-off container at the Public Works Complex, 2001 N. Osteopathy, Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm.

If you have further questions about brush or leave disposal, please contact Public Works at 660.627.1291.
