Rodney Sadler Hired as Parks and Recreation Director
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
RODNEY SADLER HIRED AS PARKS AND RECREATION DIRECTOR
(Kirksville, MO) – Kirksville City Manager Mari Macomber is pleased to announce that Mr. Rodney Sadler has been hired as Parks and Recreation Director for the City of Kirksville! Sadler will begin his duties on November 30, 2017.
This new hire follows an extensive national search, which produced a multitude of qualified candidates who were vetted by the City in partnership with our community partners in parks and recreation. This position was made possible by voter approval of the ½ of 1% (or ½ cent) sales tax for Parks and Recreation during the April 2017 Municipal Election.
“We are excited to bring Mr. Sadler on board with the City of Kirksville to lead our new Parks and Recreation Department,” said Macomber. “I look forward to his leadership and the continued success of our Parks and Recreation system!”
Sadler comes to Kirksville from the Belton Parks and Recreation Department in Belton, Missouri, where he served as the Recreation Superintendent. “I am ready to get to work providing parks and recreation opportunities to the citizens of Kirksville,” said Sadler. “The community has acknowledged through the passage of the ½ cent sales tax for parks and recreation that they support the addition of new facilities. My first priority will be meeting with community members and organizations to determine the best course of action to complete the projects that the citizens have voted to support.”
