Busted String Band to Headline Frontier Celebration!

(Kirksville, MO) — The City of Kirksville and the Kirksville Tourism Office are excited to announce that the Busted String Band will be headlining the Founders Day Frontier Celebration on Saturday, May 20, 2017, to commemorate 175 years of Kirksville! The Busted String Band is a country and western outfit from Kirksville. Their music is equal parts vintage honky-tonk, Ozarkian bluegrass, and youthful exuberance. The Busted String Band’s performance is sponsored by Alliant Bank and Vicki Benson & Re/Max Home Team!

Enjoy a historic community meal in the street at 6:00 pm, pioneer skits from Curtain Call Theatre Company at 6:30 pm, a Street Square Dance at 7:00 pm, and the Busted String Band at 8:00 pm! The event will be held on the 100 block of West McPherson Street. Tickets, which include dinner and entertainment, are $15 at the Aquatic Center, Kirksville Area Chamber of Commerce, Kirksville Historical Society, and Beard’s Gallery.
